We have two amazing options for our Day 1 Conference Strands on Thursday March 21st!
One of the session strands will cover the topic of “Low Vision and Functional Vision Assessments: Why We Do What We Do?” presented by Rajiv K. Panikkar, Kathryn Botsford PhD., and Joanne Szabo. This all day session will cover tricks of the trade for completing FVAs in this hands-on, audience participation presentation. Assessments, tools and protocols will be covered. In addition, team collaboration needed for students and clients with multiple disabilities will also be discussed.
The second full-day session strand focused on Orientation and Mobility, presented by L. Penny Rosenblum covering “Strategies to Support Travelers to Find Their Wheels”. Today’s travelers who are teen and in their early 20’s need a complex set of skills to be independent. Finding Wheels is designed to support travelers in developing these skills. Scenarios, content, and activities in Finding Wheels will be demonstrated.
